NOBORU

Noboru · 昇る

Made to rise.

A beer developed in Melbourne, shaped by the quiet standards of Japanese craft.

Melbourne, Australia

Developed in Melbourne.

Noboru is developed in Melbourne by people who care how a beer looks, pours and sits on the table.

Inspired by Japan

The quality behind Japanese things.

We borrow a way of looking: restraint, balance and care taken over the parts you barely notice. Noboru means to rise.

The range

Three ways to pour.

Draught, Classic and Strong. One standard, three characters, each with a mark of its own.

Rise with us.

Noboru launches in Australia in 2027, starting with Draught and Classic. Leave your email and we will tell you when and where.

The range

Three beers. One standard.

Each Noboru carries one mark and one colour, so the shelf reads from light to deep without a word of explanation. Draught and Classic arrive first.

Every pour

Pour it cold. Watch it rise.

Our story

From a Melbourne table, with Japan in mind.

Noboru began with a simple question: what would a beer feel like if it were made with the same care as the best things we admire from Japan? Not louder, not busier. Calmer, cleaner and more considered.

It is developed in Melbourne, where the table is the centre of everything. The name means to rise, and the mark is a beer table with a bubble above it. Every pour begins at the table, and from it, we rise.

Craft

Four things, done well.

  • Water

Clear and clean. Everything else depends on it.

  • Barley

Where the body of the beer begins.

  • Hops

Where the aroma and the finish come from.

  • Yeast

    Quiet work, done well.

At the table

Made for the long table.

Noboru is built to sit well beside food, friends and a slow evening. Pour a second round and stay a while.

Take it home
